Last Sunday we completed our first (of hopefully many) Family Race. Momma loves to run and has been coaxing the family. We found a race called the Chocolate Mile. Who can't run a mile for chocolate? Well it was a hit with the family and we're already searching for our next quest - a 5K.
Quickly Valentine's weekend ascended on us. We had some friends over on Friday to make special presents for Daddy. He loved them and can't wait to display his new frame at work. 3 out of 4 of us are down with colds, so we had to stay low for the weekend. We got a little stir crazy on Saturday so we decided to pack some tissues and head over to a Smithsonian we've been wanting to visit near Dulles - National Air and Space Museum. Princess declared this week she wants to be an astronaut when she grows up.
And we think Jimmo's favorite part was the clear open space to run. However he also had a bit of fascination with the Enterprise space shuttle.
Princess got a little tired of looking at aircraft after about an hour, but a milkshake at McDonald's sure made this outing top notch.

Love big Jimi's "Got Fragile X?" shirt - gotta get me one of those!!! And princess looked like she was running her little heart out - prob to get to that chocolate!!

I was just gonna comment on your Hubby's shirt! That is great! Question: Does Jimmo mind if the princess gets a shake...because he doesn't, right? Oh...I put up a blog post you might like...since you asked about the house. ;)
Regarding "Farmer Files" question about the shake...not just yet. He doesn't really realize that she's having something better then in his sippy cup. But someday we'll be in trouble. But actually with our handy dandy VITAMIX, we can make rice milk ice cream for him. But that doens't cut it at DQ, Friendly's and Cold Stone. Usually we just pack him a cookie of some sort. As to the shirt question from "Vitafamilae". We obtained these beauties at the Fragile X Conference this summer. As you can imagine, there is not much out there for FXS so we jump on what we find. The whole family has this set (I have a sweatshirt too) and then another set that is a bit cooler looking but not as clear of a message. Very rarely do people ask us - What is Fragile X, but it's fun when they do.
